Let's see... I grew up in Chicago area, went to college in Milwaukee area, became a CPA and worked as an auditor and consultant at one of the big 6 (at the time there were 6) public accounting firms. Worked in public accounting in Milwaukee for 7 years, then DH (at the time fiancee) was transferred to NYC. So, we moved to NJ in January 2000 and worked as a CPA for NY/NJ firm. I really didn't fit the CPA mold!
DH and I eloped to las vegas in May 2000 and didn't tell a soul (still to this day only our parents know, and all of you now ). We had a "real" wedding in December of 2000 in Chicago.
I had Colton in 10/19/2001 and became a SAHM. I had Calista 1/30/2004. I started paper scrapping a while back but it took me for-e-ver to do one page. I stumbled on digiscrapping in mid-2004 and love it.
I am founder and administrator at www.rakscraps.com and founder and co-owner of www.scrapdish.com. Additionally, you can see my digital designs at www.scrapbook-bytes.com/store and www.scrapbook.com along with www.scrapwow.com and included in Sony's SnapLab printer package.
I love scrapping because it is a huge outlet for me! My layouts have been featured in Memory Makers, Simple Scrapbooks and Correspondence Art magazines along with other books and magazines.
My children are both considered "special needs" or "disabled" (if you want to put a label on them). Colton has: Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism (PDD-NOS). Cali has: severe asthma (requiring oxygen and hospital-type monitoring equipment in our home); a neurological condition called Paroxysmal Dyskenesegenic Choreathetosis, a rare form / type of cerebral palsy (at least that is the current thought of her doctors); chronic ear infections; developmental delay; and GERD.
I myself have lupus, but won't get into the details of that right now...
Thanks for reading a little about me!
I am thrilled to be a part of www.scrapbook.com and am thankful for the opportunity! Thanks!
